Joseph H. Graves

Joseph (“Joe”) H. Graves is a native Floridian, born in Leesburg, Florida, and a veteran trial attorney, proud Navy veteran, and founding attorney of Graves Thomas Injury Law Group.

Joe has built his practice on a straightforward approach to the law—one that values substance over style. He is known for his disciplined, no-nonsense approach to personal injury law, grounded in listening first, counseling consistently, and committing the time and resources necessary to achieve meaningful results for his clients.

Joe is a Board-Certified Civil Trial Attorney, a distinction held by only a small percentage of attorneys in Florida. He is AV-rated by Martindale-Hubbell®, the highest rating for legal ability and ethical standards, and is a member of both the Million Dollar Advocates Forum and Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum.

He focuses his practice on representing injured individuals in complex matters, including car accidents, truck accidents, medical malpractice, and other serious injury cases.

Joe represents clients across the Treasure Coast, including Vero Beach and Port St. Lucie, and throughout Florida.

Joe is admitted to practice before the U.S. Court of Appeals, 5th Circuit, the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida, and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida. He is a member in good standing of The Florida Bar.

Beyond his legal practice, Joe has remained deeply committed to his community. He is a devoted husband and father to his wife, Carole George Graves, and their four daughters. Following the tragic loss of his son, James (“Jimmy”) Franklin Graves, II, in 2016, Joe founded the Jimmy Graves Foundation.
